Trophia was contracted by the New Zealand Ministry of Fisheries (MFish) to monitor the recreational blue cod (Parapercis colias) and sea perch (Helicolenus percoides) fishery in the North Canterbury - Kaikoura area.  The specific objectives for this project include:

1.  To monitor changes in recreational catch rates of blue cod and sea perch in the North Canterbury - Kaikoura area from a boat ramp survey.

 2.  To monitor changes in the size of blue cod and sea perch in recreational catches in the North Canterbury - Kaikoura area.
